CoSMoS is a Community of Scholars (interested in things anent) Medieval and Early Modern Scotland. We are an informal online network, open to all! We provide opportunities for virtual meetings throughout the year on a variety of topics relating to medieval and early modern Scotland.
Our mission…
Our hope is to generate conversations and to encourage further sharing of knowledge and expertise across different disciplines, geographical locations and affiliations. We are committed to creating a supportive environment and to facilitating network building, especially for postgraduates, early career researchers, and independent scholars.
Our mission can be summarised as:
- Connecting scholars working on medieval and early modern Scotland
- Offering an open and inclusive community
- Supporting scholars, including students and early career researchers
- Making connections across geographical, chronological and disciplinary boundaries
- Organising online events throughout the year
- Strengthening links between museums, archives, libraries, HE institutions & independent scholars
